The workshop is designed for business professionals to communicate effectively in writing if they want their words to capture the interest and attention of prospective funders and other stakeholders, both online and offline. You will leave inspired and equipped with at least 3 practical tips to begin using immediately. This highly interactive and practical workshop draws on the new book, “Writing to Make a Difference: 25 Powerful Techniques to Boost Your Community Impact.”

Here are some of the key topics and techniques that are covered

  • The ABC’s of copywriting, including understanding and advancing your “brand”, understanding your intended readers and their needs, and focusing on the benefits you offer.
  • The top 3 characteristics of effective writing and how to apply them.
  • What to look for when editing your piece, and how to give constructive feedback to others (including a checklist to take back to the office with you!)
