About the presenter
Deanna Moncrief, M.S., C.N.S., is a nutritionist based in Hawaii as well as the founder and CEO of Benchmark Wellness, an employee wellness company. Ms. Moncrief trains hundreds of people across the U.S. every year on wellness program design and nutrition programs for the workplace; in 2009 she was awarded the national Public Health Nutrition Educator Award by the Society for Nutrition Education for her work. She is a nutrition lecturer at the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu and serves as the nutrition education coordinator for singer Jack Johnson’s non-profit organization, the Kokua Hawaii Foundation.
Ms. Moncrief is a strong proponent of farm to school programs and international food security issues, and is active in the Food Security Coalition, the American Dietetic Association, the American Society of Nutrition, the Society for Nutrition Education, and the Rotary Foundation.
