These workshops are scenario based. They cover real-life situations that make business sense. Each scenario is carefully selected to introduce some key concepts and numerous tips and techniques. The scenario based training provides important insights into how to use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in new and innovative ways to support the business objectives. It introduces many of the advanced features in a natural way that is easy to grasp, and more likely to be retained and applied on a daily basis.

Workshop Title: "Microsoft Excel Techniques
Who should attend?
This workshop is for business users who are currently using Microsoft Excel, but who want to take their skills to the next level. In this workshop, users learn powerful techniques that can help them save significant time, manipulate data and extract important business insights, present information in a compelling way, and collaborate with others more effectively.
How is this different from traditional classes?
The workshop is scenario based. It covers real-life situations that make business sense. Each scenario is carefully selected to introduce some key concepts and numerous tips and techniques. The scenario based training provides important insights into how to use Excel in new and innovative ways
to support the business objectives. It introduces many of the advanced features of Excel in a natural way that is easy to grasp, and more likely to be retained and applied on a daily basis.
What will be covered?
This is a summary of the main concepts presented and the features covered:
1. Data manipulation: Managing budgets and projections, as well as handling large lists of data. Basic and advanced formulas, 3-D ranges, sorting and filtering techniques, database functions, and several other features are covered.
2. Data presentation: Using the powerful analysis and reporting tools, such as PivotTables and charts, to extract important information, and present it appropriately to various audiences. This also includes formatting options, printing options, using hyperlinks, and web pages to make presentations more effective and more user-friendly.
3. Data entry and validation: Using Excel's ability to gather and validate data when applicable. This includes validation rules and conditional formatting, as well as using forms to easily enter, modify, and view data.
4. Collaboration: Enabling multiple users to review and edit workbooks by sharing them on the network or via e-mail. Protecting sheets or cells within a sheet to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Tracking changes, reviewing changes, and accepting changes.
5. Efficiency: Using templates and styles to reuse worksheets, and to set standards and ensure consistency. This also includes dozens of shortcuts and tips that can be applied on a daily basis.

In this workshop, users learn powerful techniques that can help them save significant time, better manipulate and format documents, present information in a compelling way, and collaborate with others more effectively.

1. Document manipulation and formatting: Ranging from dozens of navigation and formatting tips and shortcuts, to introducing the powerful concept of formatting styles. Using AutoCorrect, AutoText, and proofing techniques, as well as working with headers and footers, and using bookmarks and hyperlinks.
2. Data presentation: Creating tables, charts, and diagrams from within Word, as well as importing them from other applications such as Excel. Using pictures and clip art. Automatically generating table of contents and indexes. Using various printing options and saving documents as web pages for easy Intranet or Internet publishing.
3. Data entry and validation: Using "Forms" to gather and validate data including text, numbers, checkboxes, drop-down lists, and free-form text. Making forms available as templates and using them for efficient gathering of online or paper data.
4. Collaboration: Enabling multiple users to review and edit documents. Sending documents for review via e-mail. Merging changed documents. Tracking changes, reviewing changes, and accepting or rejecting changes.
5. Efficiency: Using templates and styles to reuse documents, and to set standards and ensure consistency. This includes shortcuts and tips that can be applied on a daily basis.

In this workshop, users learn powerful techniques that can help them save significant time, better manipulate and format presentations, convey information in a compelling way, and collaborate with others more effectively.
How is this different from traditional classes?
The workshop is scenario based. It covers real-life situations that make business sense. Each scenario is carefully selected to introduce some key concepts and numerous tips and techniques. The scenario based training provides important insights into how to use PowerPoint in new and innovative ways to support the business objectives. It introduces many of the advanced features of PowerPoint in a natural way that is easy to grasp, and more likely to be retained and applied on a daily basis.
What will be covered?
This is a summary of the main concepts presented and the features covered:
1. Presentation manipulation and formatting: Ranging from dozens of navigation and formatting tips and shortcuts, to introducing the powerful concept of Master slides and templates. Writing outlines or importing them to quickly create presentations. Using different views to navigate and edit slides and speaker notes.
2. Data presentation: Creating tables, charts, and diagrams from within PowerPoint, as well as importing them from other applications such as Excel and Word. Automatically generating summary slides. Using various printing options, saving presentations as web pages, and packaging on CD for easy publishing and distribution.
3. Multi-Media and self-running presentations: Using images, sound, video, animation, and transitions to create powerful presentations that can be delivered live, or packaged as self-running presentations for tradeshows, marketing and sales events, take-away CD's, and other purposes.
4. Collaboration: Enabling multiple users to review and edit presentations. Sending presentations for review via e-mail. Merging changed presentations. Tracking changes, reviewing changes, and accepting or rejecting changes.
5. Efficiency: Using Master slides and templates to reuse presentations, and to set standards and ensure consistency. Easily customize the same presentation for different audiences. This also includes dozens of shortcuts and tips that can be applied on a daily basis.
