WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Workshop Title: “Managing and Organizing Your E-mail Inbox”

Who should attend?

This workshop is for users who are familiar with using Microsoft Outlook and who want to take their skills to the next level. Most importantly this workshop is for users who want to learn new techniques and methodologies for better managing and organizing their inbox and for communicating more effectively.

If you are not familiar with the concepts listed below or feel that you have gaps in your knowledge or Outlook, or if you need a refresher, it is recommended that you start with the Foundations sessions described below before you sign up for this workshop.

What we will cover and the benefits?

In this session you will learn powerful tips and techniques that can save you hours and help you get the results you desire from your e-mail communication. You will learn practical Microsoft Outlook features such as defining and customizing views, creating rules, customizing and setting flags, using categories to organize your inbox, using calendar and tasks to track action e-mails, using advanced searches to easy find relevant information, and organizing and archiving your messages for future reference. You will see how you can effectively apply these features in the five areas of e-mail management: E-mail reading, e-mail processing, e-mail responding, e-mail composing, and e-mail organizing.

Most importantly, you get advice on e-mail management strategies and how to align your e-mail usage with your business priorities. This will help you transform e-mail into a productivity tool that can help you, your team, and your organization better succeed in the marketplace.

In the Outlook 2003 version of this workshop, we will cover specific 2003 features such as the new navigation pane, the quick flags, the search folders, and more.
