Delehanty_Portrait_100x100In this webinar, Hugh Delehanty, a bestselling author and meditation teacher, will lead us in discussion about the powerful role that mindfulness can play in breaking through persistent blocks and unlocking our innate creativity. Hugh started meditating in his 30s when he was overwhelmed by his high-pressure job as an editor at Sports Illustrated and discovered that the key to creativity wasn’t about transporting yourself into a special trancelike state but becoming deeply attuned to the state you’re in, right here, right now. We’ll explore the latest neuroscientific research on mindfulness and creativity and learn what successful artists, such as Stephen King, Maya Angelou, and Garrison Keillor, have to teach us about crafting a more fulfilling and creative life.

This webinar is also part of our Mindfulness @Work 21-Day Challenge, helping our participants leverage the Hello Mindful App to work more mindfully throughout their workday as well as adding mindfulness practices to achieve the benefits discussed in this webinar.

About the presenter:

Hugh Delehanty is an editor-at-large at Mindful magazine and the co-author (with NBA great Phil Jackson) of national bestsellers on mindfulness and peak performance, Sacred Hoops and Eleven Rings. He has won numerous honors, including a National Magazine award and a Daytime Emmy, as an editor at Sports Illustrated and People, editor-in-chief of Utne Reader, and editorial director of AARP media properties. A former visiting professor at Carleton College, Hugh has lectured extensively on creativity and media at Columbia, Rice, Georgetown, and other universities and has appeared frequently on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and other broadcasts. He has also practiced meditation for nearly 30 years and is a certified teacher with the Mindfulness Training Institute.

Scott_Shute_100x100In this webinar, Scott Shute, Chief Mindfulness Officer and former VP of Global Customer Operations at LinkedIn, is back for yet another invaluable and insightful conversation, this time about the role of compassion at work and beyond. Traditionally, compassion has been more of a social virtue but not necessarily a core part of doing business. However, over the years, the world of emotional intelligence and mindfulness have shown that compassion is equally important and effective at work and can help boost both personal and professional fulfillment and success.

Scott spearheaded the mindfulness movement at LinkedIn enabling thousands of employees to experience amazing benefits including reducing stress, increasing self-fulfillment and improving work results. Scott will discuss how mindfulness meditation can lead to more compassion and authenticity at work, therefore allowing us to “show up” more fully and bridge the gap between our passion and our work endeavors and therefore redefining our relationship with work and our enjoyment at work.

This webinar is also part of our Mindfulness @Work 21-Day Challenge, helping our participants leverage the Hello Mindful App to work more mindfully throughout their workday as well as adding mindfulness practices to achieve the benefits discussed in this webinar.

About the presenter:

Scott Shute is the Head of Mindfulness and Compassion at LinkedIn. Scott has been an active advocate for customers and employees in the technology space for over 20 years, with roles ranging from sales, customer advocacy, and customer service leadership.
